Clayton Turf Care & Plant Health Care
Lawn and landscape programs from plant professionals.
Lawn and landscape programs from plant professionals.
St. Louis Ornamental & Turf has a team of ISA-certified arborists, a horticulturist, and licensed pesticide applicators that build programs around what your lawn and landscape actually need to thrive. We’ve been working in Clayton long enough to know that cutting corners on soil health always shows up eventually. Get it right from the start and the results keep getting better.
We’re part of a family of St. Louis companies that includes M&P Landscaping and Meyer Tree Service. When your property needs work that goes beyond turf and plant health care, you’re already working with the right team to get it done.
Both of our service programs are built around the same idea. We take the time to understand what your property needs first, then build a program around it.
STL OAT approaches turf care and plant health care with the same standards across every property we serve. We build programs around soil biology and bring a level of expertise to the work that shows up in how we treat each lawn.
STL OAT’s team includes ISA certified arborists, a horticulturist, and licensed pesticide applicators who understand plant biology, soil science, and what healthy turf actually looks like. That expertise shapes our work, from how we time applications to how we read a struggling tree or shrub.
When our technicians spot something on your property that goes beyond turf and plant health care, we work directly with M&P Landscaping and Meyer Tree Service to make sure the right people are involved. You get the benefit of a full-service team without having to manage multiple relationships.
When the chemistry is right, your lawn and landscape look their best.
Most lawn care programs rely on nitrogen for fast results. The problem is that fast green-up doesn’t build soil that holds up. Our program is built to feed the microbial activity in your soil for lasting looks and long-term health. The lawn and landscape you end up with performs better and needs less work to stay that way.
Plant health care is an ongoing program that covers everything from integrated pest management and deep root fertilization to tree injections and soil treatments. Our team assesses your plantings each season and adjusts treatment based on what we find.
STL OAT handles applications and treatments for your trees and shrubs within the scope of plant health care. For structural work like pruning, removals, or anything at height, we coordinate directly with Meyer Tree Service. Having both relationships in place from the start means nothing gets missed when something comes up on your property.
Late summer into early fall is the ideal window for aeration and overseeding in St. Louis, typically August through September. That timing gives new seed the best chance to establish before winter while the soil is still warm enough to support root development. Both are included in step six of STL OAT’s 7-step turf program, so if you’re on the full program, the timing is handled for you.
